Parts of our wireless network were damaged in the storm last night.
As a result, wireless internet services to customers in the Kingston, Sydenham, Amherst Island, Wilton, Yarker and surrounding areas have been impacted.
We currently have crews on site working to restore service as soon as possible.

Hydro One has announced that there will be a planned power outage on June 27, 2021 that will impact Kingston and Amherstview. I've included a few further details below:
Hydro One is advising residents in the Kingston and Amherstview area of a planned power outage on Sunday, June 27 required for crews to safely perform scheduled maintenance and complete upgrades in the area. For the safety of our crews, equipment must be de-energized to complete the work. To reduce service disruptions and the need for future outages, we are bundling our work as much as possible to enhance power reliability and replace aging infrastructure.
When: A planned power outage will take place on Sunday, June 27 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will affect approximately 3,400 Hydro One customers in the Township of Loyalist, including Amherstview as well as Hydro One customers in Kingston.

With the significant and growing concern across North America of the COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) situation, we wish
to provide you on an update on how KOS is handling this situation as it relates to our customers and employees.
We will remain fully operational. Our employees are equipped to work remotely from home. Our offices will be locked and we will only have limited staff members in our offices for equipement exchange and pick up only. Times for equipment exchanges and pick up must be arranged over the phone prior to coming to the office.
During this unprecedented event, we will help to slow the spread of the virus by limiting our employees attending the workplace. We will be communicating with our employees on a regular basis, promoting social distancing and cancelling our business travel.
We will reassess the COVID-19 situation and will provide an update if and when this situation changes.
